Haitian orphan

Hi. This one is from the same series as the Mother and Child. He is an haitian earthquake victim. One of the many orphans wandering through the streets of Port au Prince.

This series portraits the many difficulties our children live in less developed countries. Unfortunately, I still have a lot of paintings to do.

Olá. Este é da mesma seríe que o Mãe e Filho. Ele é uma victima do terramoto no Haiti. Um dos muitos orfãos que vagueiam pelas ruas de Port au Prince.

Esta seríe retrata as muitas dificuldades que as nossas crianças vivem em países menos desenvolvidos.

Infelizmente, ainda tenho muitas pinturas a fazer.

A Girl Portrait

Hi everybody. You know. I´ve been a naughty boy. Almost two months without saying a word. I have been preparing my portfolio and my Uni application until now. I want to study and improve my art hence the lack of time to post anything.

But not posting doesn't mean that I haven't painted.

This was a comissioned job I did for a friend of mine. The girl lives in Latvia and my friend works here with me. Sorry, I don't know her name (please don't kill me Alex).

Olá pessoal. Já sabem. Fui um menino mal comportado. Quase dois meses sem dizer uma palavra. Tenho andado a preparar o meu portfolio e a minha inscrição na Uni até agora. Eu quero estudar e melhorar a minha arte daí a falta de tempo para publicar qualquer coisa.

Mas não publicar não quer dizer que não pintei.

Este foi um trabalho que fiz para um amigo meu. A rapariga vive na Latvia e o meu amigo trabalha aqui comigo. Desculpem, não sei o nome dela (por favor não me mates Alex).

My most recent works haven't been posted until now because I really didn't had the time. It's christmas time folks so I've been busy buying all the presents :) I'm sure you will forgive me for that.

Two new 3d cities. The sunset and the night. Hope you like them.

Folks, you know, the usual. Due to the slowness of Virgin Media, it took one month to connect the broadband in my house. Now I have it and hope (once and for all) to be able to post several times a week in here.

Hi. I'm back. Sorry for all the time passed without posting. I haven´t painted for almost one month due to my work shifts. I been getting out always at the end off the day which means there is no sunlight when I get home. I started this painting last month and only today I could finish it. It is quite big and for that reason I had to post a picture of my girlfriend next to it. Really hope it was worth the waiting.

Oi. Estou de volta. Desculpem pelo tempo passado sem publicar nada. Não tenho pintado há já quase um mês devido aos meus turnos no trabalho. Tenho saído sempre no fim do dia o que significa que não há luz do sol quando chego a casa. Comecei esta pintura o mês passado e só hoje é que a consegui acabar. É bem grande e por essa mesma razão é que também publiquei uma imagem da minha namorada ao lado dela. Espero que tenha valido a pena esperarem.

mother and son

Ok. I'm back for the second time in two days.This was my first objective when I created the blog. Try to update it on a daily basis with new paintings but, with so much travelling around, I found that to be almost impossible.I have finished the painting I showed you yesterday. The picture I used as a reference was one of a ethiopian mother and her son and the sadness in her eyes shocked me enough to paint it.I think this is the one that took me longer to finish because of all the details in her headscarf. The sad expression in her face was also a big challenge bacause I tryed to do it the most real I could.Hope you enjoy the subject of this painting and, if you don't think it is good enough, understand that I only started painting portraits in the beginning of this year and I still have a lot to learn.Even so, I think it is really good :)

Ok. Estou de volta pela segunda vez em dois dias.Este era o meu primeiro objectivo quando criei o blog. Tentar actualizá-lo diariamente com novas pinturas mas, de tanto viajar de um lado para o outro, descobri que era quase impossível.Acabei a pintura que vos mostrei ontem. A imagem que usei como referência é de uma mulher etiope com o seu filho e a tristeza nos seus olhos chocou-me o suficiente para a pintar.Penso que esta foi das que me levou mais tempo para acabar por causa dos detalhes no seu lenço. A tristeza na sua cara também foi um desafio grande porque tentei fazê-la o mais real que consegui.Espero que gostem do tema desta pintura e, se pensarem que não está boa o suficiente, compreendam que so comecei a pintar retratos no início deste ano e que ainda tenho muito a aprender.Mesmo assim, eu acho que está muito bom :)

Hi guys. I've been without net at home. So I hope you forgive me for the delay posting new works.This one is a lot bigger than the portraits I've done in the last weeks. Those are in an A5 size and this is a little bigger than an A2.I have been painting all week and have three more to post. Tomorrow will be another one. See you then.

Ok ok, it was not daily but (almost) weekly:)
My job didn't allow it and because I only draw or paint with natural light, it took me a couple of days to finish this one. Hope you like it. See you soon guys.

Zion Lion

Hi guys. This one goes out to all the reggae fans out there. Sorry if it is not the most realistic kind of painting but drawing all that fur is a little bit tricky. Even so, hope you guys like it.

Ps: just bought a Rotring A2 drawing board for £2.50 (lol) wich was something I needed desperatly because drawing in a flat table was killing my back (not to say ruining the top of my new table). Maybe now with some better conditions I can start posting new works almost daily.

Olá pessoal. Esta vai para todos os fãs de reggae por aí. Desculpem se não é o tipo mais realista de pintura mas desenhar todo aquele pêlo é um pouco complicado. Mesmo assim, espero que vocês gostem.

Ps: acabei de comprar um estirador A2 da Rotring por £2.50 (lol) o que é algo que precisava desesperadamente porque desenhar numa mesa rasa estava a matar as minhas costas (para não dizer que estava a arruinar o tampo da minha mesa nova). Talvez agora com melhor condições eu possa "postar" novos trabalhos quase diariamente. Vêmo-nos brevemente.

Gentleman

Hello everybody. Here is another one. This is a portrait of Gentleman. He is a german reggae singer and, in my opinion, even better than any jamaican one.
